Area of study: Visual storytelling, design anthropology, photography and visual communication design Teaching focus: Project-oriented with a focus on the involvement of external partners. Didactic focus on creating a safe space which opens up an iterative, curious and experimental exploration of subject, process and material before the final outcome.
Educational development
I have been part of a passionate team dedicated to developing innovative and industry-relevant courses within design, communication, and innovation. I played a key role in the development of the PBA in Communication Design & Media at KEA, contributing to curriculum design, ensuring a strong focus on both personal and creative development, professional skill-building, industry relevance and innovative and design driven problem-solving.
In addition to this, I have created several elective courses for PBA students, covering topics such as visual communication, photography/film, storytelling, social design and trend forecasting & ethnographic research.
My responsibilities have also included facilitating professional development for assistant professors at KEA, guiding them in the writing proces around pedagogical methods and teaching practices in relation to design practice.
This work reflects my commitment to fostering engaging, future-oriented education that bridges academic learning with real-world application.
