Workshops, Talks, Teaching
I am passionate about the transformative and aesthetic potentials of photography and helping others to find, understand and manifest their photographic voice through photographic workshops and supervision.
I also have a deep interest in photography as a tool for participation, ethnographic exploration, designerly research and aesthetic communication of field engagements. This was the topic of my Ph.D dissertation and has also been themes at workshops and talks that I have held.
I teach courses on photography, visual storytelling and visual design research at KEA. School of Design and Technology in Copenhagen. I am furthermore part of KEA’s Research & Innovation centre where I am involved in practice based research on photography and visual design anthropology.
I have done seminars and talks at several educational institutions such as the Parsons School of Art and Design, NYC and KADK, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation and events such as Copenhagen Photo Festival and Copenhagen Fashion Week.
I have furthermore worked with participatory photography in various workshops centred around collaborative practices.
